Privacy

Because I'm based in the EU, GDPR applies. Here is what happens with your data, in plain words.
Who is responsible for your data
Antonio P. Valiantis, trading as Godelic, freelance web designer, Kokkinappi 2, 8525 Nata, Paphos, Cyprus. Contact: godelic.co@gmail.com
The short version
This site has no forms, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking and no newsletter. I don't set any cookies. I don't run any analytics or tracking myself. My host, Cloudflare, handles basic technical data to deliver and protect the site (see below).
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information. I rely on my legitimate interest in running the site securely (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare may keep these logs for a short time and may process them in the USA or other countries, relying on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. I don't use this data to identify you. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Fonts
The fonts are hosted on the site itself, so your browser sends no requests to Google.
The demo simulations
The sample sites and demos run only in your browser. Nothing you type or tap in them is sent to me or stored anywhere.
If you contact me
You can reach me by email or by Instagram direct message. Those buttons only open your email app or Instagram when you choose to. If you write to me, I use your message only to reply and to prepare a quote. I never sell it or share it for marketing.
Why I'm allowed to use it (legal basis):
- Replying to your enquiry and preparing a quote: you asked me something and I need to answer. This is a step before a contract, and I also have a legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- Doing work for you as a client: I need your details to carry out our contract.
- Keeping contract and invoice records: the law requires me to.
How long I keep it:
- If you ask for a quote and nothing follows, I delete my copy of your messages after 12 months.
- If you become a client, I keep contract and invoice records for as long as the law requires.
If you become a client
When I invoice you, your name, email and invoice details go through PayPal, which sends the invoice and takes the payment. I also share invoice details with my accountant so I can keep my books. Apart from the services named on this page, I don't share them with anyone else. PayPal has its own privacy policy.
Email and other services
My email runs on Gmail (Google). If you write to me on Instagram, your message is processed by Instagram, which is run by Meta. Google and Meta may process data in the USA. They rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Their privacy policies (linked below) explain the safeguards. You can also email me with questions about transfers. Each service has its own privacy policy: Google and Meta.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask me for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how I use it, to object to how I use it, or to get the data you gave me in a portable form (where this applies). To use any of these rights, email me. I answer within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection: dataprotection.gov.cy.
Changes
If I add forms or tools later, I will update this page first.
