A5Sheet: How I work

How I work

A clear programme, a small crew and a tidy site. Here is what happens, and when.

How the job runs

Pick a kind of job, then tap a step to see who is on site, how much dust and noise to expect, and what we need from you. Spans are examples.

Showing: Kitchen. Size your room for a rough price

    1. 1. Visit Week 1 (first part)

On site: D. measures and talks it through with you.
      Dust and noise: None.
Your to-do: Tell us what you want, and show us any problem spots.

    2. 2. Written quote Week 1 (end)

On site: Nobody. D. writes it up from the visit.
      Dust and noise: None.
Your to-do: Read it, ask questions, and say yes when you're happy.

    3. 3. Strip out Week 2 (first part)

On site: D. and a crew of two (P. and N.).
Dust and noise: High, for the first day or two.
Your to-do: Clear the cupboards and move small items out.

    4. 4. Build and fit Weeks 2–3

On site: P. and N., with D. checking in.
      Dust and noise: Medium.
Your to-do: Keep the way to the room clear, and tell us if plans change.

    5. 5. Tiling and finish Week 3

On site: N. lays the tiles, and D. does the final checks.
      Dust and noise: Low.
Your to-do: Choose grout and handles before this week starts.

    6. 6. Clean and handover Week 3 (end)

On site: D. and P. clean, and then walk you through the room.
      Dust and noise: Low.
Your to-do: Look around with us, and tell us if anything needs another look.

    The tidy-site promise

Your home is not a building site. This is what we do on every job.

    • Dust sheets down

We lay dust sheets over floors before any work starts.

    • A clean-up every day

We tidy the room at the end of each day, so you can use the rest of your home.

    • Furniture covered

What can't leave the room gets moved to the middle and covered.

    • A written quote first

You get the exact price in writing before we start. No surprises.

    What we ask of you

    • Move small items and valuables out of the room.
    • Tell us about any problem spots on the visit.
    • Choose grout, handles and colours before the week they're needed.

What you can expect from us

    • A clear programme and a named person on site.
    • A phone call or message if plans change.
    • A walk-round at handover, and a second look if something needs it.
